Established in 2003 under the Private University Act, 1992, The Millennium University was founded to expand access to quality higher education in Bangladesh. Sponsored by the Khan Foundation — a non-political, non-profit philanthropic organization committed to socio-economic development — the institution is dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.
The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh, with all academic programs designed in accordance with UGC guidelines.
